To ask the Minister for Health the dedicated supports currently available to children and families impacted by foetal alcohol spectrum disorder (given an estimated that up to 5% of children and young people in Ireland are affected; given that in 2018, the needs of children and young people with fasd and the need for diagnosis, early intervention and specialist supports for FASD were raised before the Oireachtas Health Committee by Alcohol Forum Ireland and further, last week, a new report from Alcohol Forum Ireland and the Global Brain Health Institute in Trinity College highlighted the support needs of families raising a child /children on the Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder.); what dedicated supports, if any, are currently available; the plans there are in child and family services to address the needs of children on the foetal alcohol spectrum; and if he will make a statement on the matter
