The Framework was developed based on our current understanding of recovery and how mental health service provision supports recovery. In keeping with the recovery ethos, it was co-produced with service users, family members and carers and experts by experience.
The National Framework for Recovery in Mental Health is for service users, family members and carers, mental health service providers and the voluntary and community sector. It will facilitate the development of recovery-oriented services from 2018-2020, at which point it will be reviewed.
