"1. Are educated to Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) maintained by Quality & Qualifications of Ireland (QQI) in nursing or related field.
AND
2. Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience* in a management or supervisory role in the area of Intellectual Disabilities immediately prior to the closing date for this campaign
AND
3. Hold a management qualification** in health or a related field. (This requirement can be satisfied by a stand-alone programme or a completed module. The module may form part of a larger programme of study or be included in the award at (1) above).

4. Demonstrate depth and breadth of experience working with people who may present with behaviours of concern and/or multiple physical and sensory disabilities as relevant to the role.

14.
(1) The registered provider shall appoint a person in charge of the designated centre.
(2) The post of person in charge shall be full-time and shall require the qualifications, skills and experience necessary to manage the designated centre, having regard to the size of the designated centre, the statement of purpose, and the number and needs of the residents.
(3) A person who is appointed as person in charge on or after the day which is 3 years after the day on which these Regulations come into operation shall have—
(a) a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management or supervisory role in the area of health or social care; and
(b) an appropriate qualification in health or social care management at an appropriate level.
