The Quality Cycle
Tools such as the ‘Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA)’ cycle, developed by W. Edwards Deming, can be a useful resource in determining and implementing required actions from Quality Improvement Plans.
The PDCA cycle, or quality cycle, is an important improvement model based on four stages which ensure a structured approach to the improvement of quality.
The PDCA cycle can be used for every quality activity/initiative/ project that is undertaken to help ensure that the best possible results are achieved. The underlying principle of the cycle is that an activity is not complete until evaluation shows that it has been effective.
