What is the Endeavour Programme?

This programme is a 12 month outpatient treatment for individuals attending mental health services with:

  • repeated episodes of self harm
  • chronic feelings of emptiness
  • suicidal thoughts, urges and attempts
  • longterm difficulties in managing to regulate emotions such as anger and sadness.
  • difficulties in maintaining interpersonal relationships.

Often, people with these difficulties will have been given a diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder. The Endeavour Programme is based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), a well researched treatment approach that was developed by psychologist Marsh Linehan in the United States in the 1990’s. Our client information sheet will provide you with additional information on the programme.
