Submission guidelines
We are now accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations for the LUH 11th Annual Multidisciplinary Research Symposium.
- Oral presentations will be approximately 6 minutes each (maximum 8 slides), with 2 minutes thereafter for questions
- Poster presentations will be presented as e-posters (a single powerpoint slide), with 3 minutes to describe the research and 1 minute for questions
- Word limit for Abstract - 250 words (excluding references) - Please note that failure to adhere to word count will result in your abstract being returned
- Please follow the below format:
- Aims & objectives
Describe what you based your research on and what you wanted to achieve by doing this piece of research.
- Methods
Describe what you wanted to achieve, whether quantitative or qualitative, the sample size, the sampling methods, and the exclusion or inclusion criteria, time of study, method of analysis etc.
- Results
Outline the main findings of your study and include quantifiable measures. Do not include tables and charts in the abstract submission.
- Conclusion
Summarise the interpretation of your results.
- References
Vancouver Referencing Style.
- Word Count
Closing date for abstract submission is Friday, 20th October at 5pm. To ensure smooth organisation of the event, late submissions will not be accepted.
All abstracts will undergo a scoring system by independent adjudicators. The final decision will be made from overall marks on your selections as either oral or poster presentation. This will be notified to you by email.
