Geographical Area - East Coast Area Diabetes

ECAD covers Community Healthcare East (CHO 6), extending from Baggot Street, South Dublin, to Carnew in South Wicklow. The area has a population of 391,956. An estimated 19,598 of this population has diabetes of which approximately 16,658 has Type 2 diabetes. For historical reasons ECAD includes Pearse Street Primary Care Centre, Dublin 2 and Irishtown and Ringsend Primary Care Centre, Dublin 4.
