These services are provided to people who through illness or disability are in need of support or changes to their lifestyle. Occupational Therapists can advise on any changes that may be needed in the home to support a person with special needs, and on activities that will help a person to regain their independence.

Ophthalmic
Pre-school & Primary School Children and Medical Cardholders are entitled to Ophthalmic/Eye Testing Services free of charge.

Physiotherapy
Community Physiotherapy services are provided from the Local Health Office, helping people who have suffered an injury or illness to regain their health or mobility through exercise and movement. To contact the Physiotherapy Service call: (066) 718 4280.
Community Speech & Language Therapy
The speech & language therapist assesses, diagnoses and manages those clients who present with communication and/or swallowing difficulties. The service in the Kerry Local Health Area is currently provided to children and adolescents. A very limited adult service is provided .Adults require medical referral. An open referral system operates.
