Occupational Therapy
Provides a service to people of all ages with physical and sensory disability. Our aim is to promote and maintain independence in daily living skills and improve/maintain quality of life for clients in the community. These services are provided to people who through illness or disability are in need of support or changes to their lifestyle. Occupational Therapists can advise on any changes that may be needed in the home to support a person with special needs, and on activities that will help a person to regain their independence.

Physiotherapy
Community Physiotherapy Services are provided from the Local Health Office, helping people who have suffered an injury or illness to regain their health or mobility through exercise and movement. To contact the Physiotherapy Service Tel: (091) 546 009
Speech and Language Therapy
Speech and Language Therapy Services are provided for children and adults who need help developing their speech or who have had difficulty in this area. Tel: (091) 546 010
Chiropody Services
This service is available to Medical Card holders over 65 years, all Diabetics and other "At Risk" groups i.e. R.A., P.V.D., persons with Intellectual/Physical Disabilities in special need of treatment and young children and adolescents presenting with recurring nail trauma. Ophthalmology
Medical Card holders are entitled to Ophthalmic or Eye Testing Services, which you can access by calling (091) 546 255 or visiting 25 Newcastle Road, Galway
Community Nutrition and Dietetic Service
The Community Nutrition and Dietetic Service (CNDS) is a community based service that aims to improve the nutritional status of the population of Galway and to help to reduce the incidence of nutrition-related diseases. This is achieved through a combination of nutrition health promotion and clinical work. The service is provided by Community Dietitians who are members of the Irish Nutrition and Dietetic Institute (INDI).
