Speech and Language Therapists provide assessment, diagnosis and therapy for adults with a range of acquired communication or swallowing difficulties, for example dysphagia.
Our service
We see people over 18 years who have acquired communication difficulties (for example, after having a stroke or neurological diagnosis), acquired swallowing difficulties or voice difficulties.
We see adults who have:
- acquired communication difficulties (e.g., aphasia, dysarthria)
- acquired swallowing difficulties (i.e., dysphagia)
- voice difficulties
We see adults who live in the Dublin South City catchment area. This includes the South Inner City, and parts of Rialto, Kilmainham, Dolphin’s Barn, Ringsend, Harold’s Cross, Kimmage, Templeogue, Terenure, Limekiln, Rathmines, Rathgar, Ranelagh, Sandymount, Rathfarnham, Ballyboden, and Knocklyon.

We operate an open referral policy. Referrals can be made by completing the referral form below. We accept self-referrals, referrals by GPs or any member of the Primary Care Team (for example, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Public Health Nurse).
