We help children with their speech and language in the Cavan and Monaghan area.
We are a primary care service that helps children with non-complex needs. For children with complex needs, services are provided by the Children's Disability Network Team.

What we do
We provide services for children aged 0 to 18 years targeting their:
- understanding of what others are saying
- talking
- speech sounds
- stammering
- voice
- feeding, eating, drinking and swallowing
We work with the child, family and others in the community (health staff and teachers). We plan how to support the child’s speech and language development.
Based on this planning we may decide on:
- assessment
- clinic Sessions
- home programme
- Training course
- liaising with teachers
- onward referrals to other health professionals
- discharge from service
How to refer your child
If you are concerned about your child’s speech and language, you can refer your child.
Fill out the referral form below, explaining your concerns and send it to the address below. Teachers, Public Health Nurses or GPs can also refer with the parent's consent.
