Brief Description
We will explore many aspects of dementia care, including care in acute hospitals, different models of highly-supported and long-term care, and the most recent evidence surrounding effective respite care. A broad basis in ethical issues, palliative care, end-of-life care, and advance care planning, and capacity assessment will be covered. As well as traditional lectures, we hold workshops where you get the opportunity to discuss complex cases with experienced lecturer-practitioners.
