Public health emergency

The Minister for Health highlighted that we have seen a rapid increase in the numbers of cases of CPE in recent years.

International experience indicates that CPE and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) need to be tackled at a national level.

This is why the Minister convened the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET).
