CBT-E
Web-Based Training in Enhanced CBT (CBT-E) for Eating Disorders
CBT-E is an evidence-based treatment for eating disorders. This training is a modified version of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) created specifically for eating disorders and their difficulties, e.g. distorted thinking about shape and weight or perfectionism. It is available to any eligible Health Service Executive (HSE) therapist at no cost.
Web-Based Training in Enhanced CBT (CBT-E) for Eating Disorders (cbte.co) is a detailed, clinically-rich, website for training therapists to deliver enhanced transdiagnostic CBT for eating disorders (CBT-E).
- The training allows clinicians to view demonstrations of specific techniques and learn key treatment procedures
- It describes and illustrates the treatment in detail
- It incorporates features to help clinicians grasp key concepts and master the main procedures; interactive in nature and includes an extensive “library” of acted illustrations of the treatment
Access to the training is funded by National Clinical Programme for Eating Disorders.
