Fifth National Medicines Forum

The HSE Medicines Management Programme (MMP) are hosting the Fifth National Medicines Forum, on 29 February 2024, in the Royal College of Physicians in Kildare Street, Dublin 2.

The Forum includes representatives from the MMP, clinical and industry settings discussing various medicines management activities and initiatives managed by the MMP.

The Forum will focus on the work of the MMP, in promoting safe, effective and cost-effective prescribing in Ireland. The sessions will cover topics such as:

• An overview of the work of the MMP in the area of Health Technology Management
• The best-value biological medicine initiative
• Health technology management of rare diseases
• Endocrinology, with a specific focus on treatments for diabetes and weight management.
