Closing and opening screens

Closing screens

All videos should have a closing screen to encourage your audience to take an action. For example, visiting our website for more information.

There are 2 types of closing screens: HSE logo only or HSE logo with partner logo.

If possible, include the link to the exact page you want people to go to. Not all users will be comfortable navigating to the page from the HSE homepage. The link should be short and clear.

If you need a short URL set up for this purpose, email your request to digital@hse.ie.

Own brand identity

Coloured backgrounds can be used when the campaign or programme has its own brand identity and colour scheme.

Understand-together-Copy

The HSE watermark logo must be the only persistent logo throughout the duration of the video.

Opening screens

Opening screens are optional. They should be used when you need to display a short title to provide additional context or information to your viewer before your video begins.

If you do not need an opening screen, start your video at the first frame of footage.

Videos for social media

For videos that will only be hosted on social media, avoid using an opening screen to keep social videos as short as possible. Include any additional context and partner mentions in the social copy instead.

Opening screen design

If you are using an opening screen, the closing screen must always match that background colour.

Use the opening screen template:

Use Arial bold font and adjust the text size to what works best based on text length, staying as close in size to the template as possible.
