To ask the Minister for Children; Equality; Disability; Integration and Youth if the lack of adequate reliable transport facilities available to an organisation ( the Irish Wheelchair Association Athy, to allow them to provide adequate disabled buses with sufficient capacity to bring their clients to events and activities the centre arranges for disabled people in the CHO7 Area, as currently they have insufficient transport places to transport clients to these essential services. Minister of State at the Department of Health and at the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth – With regard to the Mobility Allowance which was discontinued in 2013 with the provisio that a new scheme was to take its place, as yet no such scheme has been implemented – can the Minister clarify what if any scheme has replaced it and what are the qualifying criteria.) will be examined; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
