Policy on the Annual Certification of Registration of Nurses and Midwives with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland

The HSE has reviewed HR Circular 004/2010 re Policy on the Management of Professional Registers and Amendments to such Registers and is replacing it with separate policies on the treatment of erasures and sanctions and individual policies covering the verification of annual registration with the six regulatory authorities; the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland, the Irish Medical Council, the Dental Council, the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland, the Health and Social Care Professionals Council (CORU) and the Pre Hospital Emergency Care Council. Arrangements in respect of 2015 are set out in HR Circular 028/2014.

Please refer to HR Circular 004/2017 which replaces HSE HR Circular 028/2014 and HSE HR Circular 10/2015.  The revised date for submission of the Patient Safety Assurance Certificate to the Director of Nursing or Service Manager is now 10th March annually.
