Shortlisting will commence in January 2016. Successful projects will be announced and contacted to present to the Selection Panel. At this presentation, six projects will be further shortlisted to qualify for the Health Service Excellence Awards 2016 Final – an event to be held in April 2016.
The Overall Winner will be selected by the Selection Panel and announced at the Health Service Excellence Awards 2016 Final event. In addition there will be a Popular Choice Award which will be decided by a special online voting poll. Staff will be encouraged to vote for the project of their choice for the Popular Choice Award.
At their discretion, the Co-ordinators & Selection Panel may make additional awards in the form of commendation for projects that excelled in particular criteria, for the purposes of creating further replication of learning.
Additionally, the overall winner will be encouraged to write up their project as a case study and submit it to the Leadership, Education & Development Team in the Human Resources Division of the HSE so that it can be shared online to maximise the transfer of learning across the health services. The six finalists will also be profiled at the DG Masterclass in May 2016.
