National Paediatric Hospital

The HSE is working to develop a world class health service for Ireland, and a key objective within that is to deliver world class health and hospital services for our children. The current facilities in  Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin and the Children's University Hospital, Temple St are outdated and there is a need to replace these inadequate facilities as quickly as possible.

Following the commissioning of an independent review in 2006 and the resulting report Children's Health First, the HSE set about planning for one national paediatric hospital, located beside an adult teaching hospital.
