Damson View designated centre is managed by the HSE and consists of one house that provides full time residential accommodation for up to four adults. This centre is located in a rural area close to Sligo town. Accessible transport is available for residents to access local amenities. Residents are supported by a staff team of nurses and care assistants who are present in the centre both during the day and at night.
This Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA) report was the result of an announced inspection at Damson View designated centre which took place on Tuesday 6th February 2024 and the report was published on the HIQA website on May 15th 2024.
The inspector found the residents who live in the centre have a good quality of life, have choice in their daily life, are supported to achieve good health, and are involved in activities that they enjoy. The inspector also noted that the Person in Charge of the centre and centre staff were very focused on ensuring that a person-centred service is delivered to the residents of Damson View.
On the day of inspection there were twenty regulations inspected. All twenty regulations received a compliant judgement.
HSE Community Healthcare Cavan, Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo Disability Services will continue to work to ensure that high quality services are delivered and maintained within Damson View designated centre.
